Medallion Midstream’s founder has nearly 35 years of experience in the natural gas midstream business in a variety of operational and commercial leadership roles.
From March 2005 until May 2010, Mr. Lentz served as Senior Vice President and Vice President, Commercial Operations with Penn Virginia Resource Partners, where he had direct responsibility for the midstream division’s day-to-day business operations including business development, gas supply, contract administration, and natural gas and NGL marketing. During his five years with Penn Virginia, Mr. Lentz managed all commercial activities related to the company’s midstream assets comprising more than 4,000 miles of gas gathering pipelines, 400 million standard cubic feet per day (“MMcfd”) of natural gas processing capacity and related natural gas liquids pipelines, including the construction and acquisition of more than 600 miles of gas gathering pipelines and 240 MMcfd of natural gas processing capacity.
Prior to his employment with Penn Virginia, Mr. Lentz was a partner and Vice President, Business Development with Cantera Resources and Cantera Natural Gas. During his five years at Cantera, the company acquired over $240 million in gas gathering and processing assets. Mr. Lentz contributed to the strategy, development, relationship building, capacity and throughput increases, and cost reductions that collectively led to the sale of the same assets for more than $1.4 billion.
Prior to Cantera, Mr. Lentz served in various management roles with Union Pacific Fuels, Highlands Gas Corporation and Cimarron Gathering and Processing Company.
