Hiren Shah

Hiren Shah has a strong background in financial reporting and auditing. Hiren most recently held the position of Director of Financial Reporting at Medavie Health Services starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Controller at the same company from 2022 to 2023. Hiren also worked as a Senior Corporate Accountant for Nova Scotia Power from 2019 to 2022. Hiren gained valuable experience as a Senior Accountant at KPMG Canada from 2018 to 2019 and as a Group Finance Manager at ARMS Group from 2014 to 2018. Hiren began their career as an Audit Supervisor at KPMG UAE from 2010 to 2014, and they also worked as a Senior Auditor at PwC from 2009 to 2010. Hiren started their professional journey as an Audit Senior at A.J.Shah & Co from 2005 to 2009.

Hiren Shah's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the University of Mumbai and earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Taxation. Hiren then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the same university between 2005 and 2007. In 2005, Hiren also enrolled at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and successfully completed the Chartered Accountant program in Accounting and Finance from 2005 to 2008. In 2014, they attended ACCA in London, UK, and received a Diploma in IFRS. Hiren continued their professional development in 2016 by obtaining a license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the New Hampshire State Board of Accountancy through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Finally, in 2017, they completed the CPA Canada program in Accounting and Finance through Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).
