Somchai Rice

Somchai Rice has worked in a variety of roles since 2001. From 2001 to 2018, they worked at Iowa State University in a variety of roles, including Research Scientist III, Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Research Associate I, and Laboratory Assistant II. In 2018, they became Co-Founder and CSO of MedBlox. In 2019, they became a Board Member of Docent Institute and Massachusetts Cyber Corporation, where their role description included a mission to start a security conference for kids and adults to pursue careers in the computer security and science industries. In 2020, they became an Iowa STEM Advisory Council Member.

Somchai Rice obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Iowa State University, followed by a Master of Science in Toxicology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Toxicology, both from Iowa State University. In 2014, Somchai Rice obtained a Graduate Certificate of Forensic Science from Iowa State University. In 2019, Somchai Rice obtained Qualified Expert Witness certification from the U S Federal Court.
