Manjiree Karandikar

Medical Consultant at Medcase Health

Manjiree Karandikar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Manjiree started their career as a Clinical Solutions Intern at clinivation, Inc in 2006. Manjiree then worked as a Project Manager at United Biosource Corp from 2007 to 2008, where they led the design and implementation of interactive web and voice response systems for clinical trials.

In 2008, Manjiree became a Medical Student at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and they completed their studies in 2012. Manjiree then joined Harbor-UCLA Pediatrics as a Pediatric Resident from 2012 to 2015, gaining valuable experience in the field of pediatrics.

From 2015 to 2018, Manjiree served as an Infectious Diseases Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital, further specializing in pediatric infectious diseases. Following this, they joined UCSF Medical Center in 2018 and took on multiple roles simultaneously. Manjiree became an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship Program, and the Clinical Director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease and Global Health.

In 2020, Manjiree briefly worked as a Medical Consultant at Medcase, and in 2021, they joined the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine as an Assistant Course Director for Pathogen Host Defense.

Throughout their career, Manjiree has also been involved in various committees and advisory roles. Manjiree served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Medical Information Systems Advisory Committee at UCSF Medical Center from 2019 to 2022.

Most recently, in 2021, they also assumed the role of Associate Medical Director for Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention at UCSF Medical Center, a position they will hold until June 2023.

Manjiree Karandikar has an extensive education history. Manjiree first attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Cell and Developmental Biology.

Following this, they enrolled at Keck Graduate Institute from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued a Master of Business in Biopharmaceutical Drug Development. Later, from 2008 to 2012, they attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and earned their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree in Medicine.

In 2016, Manjiree Karandikar's educational journey continued as they attended Harvard University, where they pursued a Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science. This program lasted from 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their educational achievements, Manjiree Karandikar has also obtained various certifications. Manjiree became board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in November 2015. Furthermore, in November 2019, they obtained another certification from the ABP, this time in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
