Mark Widgery

Mark Widgery has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Mark currently serves as the Clinical Operations Lead at medcase since February 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded MedLink Solutions in September 2018, where they delivered software to UK Primary Care for online reviews of Long-term Conditions. This software was widely used, with over 220 GP Practices across the UK utilizing it and benefiting over 2.5 million patients.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Mark worked as a Locum GP at Gp Surgeries & Clinics from April 2017 to March 2021. Mark also held the position of Clinical AI Lead at MyPulse from April 2017 to December 2020.

Earlier in their career, Mark served as a General Practitioner at Virgin Care from August 2012 to March 2017. Mark began their medical career with the NHS, where they underwent General Practitioner Training from August 2009 to August 2012, including rotations in hospital specialties like General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Emergency Medicine. Mark also completed the Foundation Program from August 2005 to August 2009 as part of their training with the NHS.

Mark Widgery completed their education in medicine with a focus on primary care. From 1999 to 2005, they attended the University of Oxford, where they earned a BM BCh from the Medical School. Later, they went on to pursue further education at the Royal College of General Practitioners from 2009 to 2012, obtaining an MRCGP in Primary Care Medicine.
