Scott Kantenwein

Scott Kantenwein, AIC, AIS has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Scott began their career as an Underwriting/Claims Department Records Management Clerk at Kemper Comp Insurance Co. in 1986. After that, they worked as a Pinellas County Emergency Medical Technician, followed by the role of a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Field Training Officer at Pinellas County Government.

In 1997, Scott joined Medcor as a Triage Call Center Operations Manager and progressively moved up the ladder. Scott served as the Director of National Triage Accounts from 2005 to 2017, overseeing triage account management and fostering genuine partnerships with clients. After that, they became the Director of Triage Implementation for Insurance Carrier Partners, responsible for implementing triage services for insurance carriers.

Scott's expertise in triage led him to work as a Triage Consultant in 2020, and then as the Director of Telehealth Sales for the Insurance Carrier Market. In these roles, they provided consultation and showcased the benefits of early nurse triage to insurance carriers and other internal departments.

Currently, Scott serves as the Executive Director of Telehealth Sales for the Insurance Carrier Market at Medcor. In this position, they contribute to the strategic business plan for telehealth services and focuses on overall growth within the insurance carrier market. Scott also assists with team training and day-to-day activities related to consulting and selling to insurance carriers.

Scott Kantenwein, AIC, AIS's education history includes obtaining an Emergency Medical Technician certification from St. Petersburg College in 1989-1990. Scott then pursued a Paramedic degree at Pasco-Hernando State College from 1991-1992. In 1993, they gained an Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification from the International Academy Emergency Dispatch. Scott is currently pursuing an Associate in Claims and Associates in Insurance from The Institutes, which is scheduled to be completed in 2022. Scott plans to further their education at UCLA Extension in 2023-2024 to obtain a Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management. Alongside their education, Scott has also obtained an Associate in Insurance and an Associate in Claims certification from The Institutes in 2022.
