Dr Bahman Nedjat-Shokouhi has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Dr Bahman is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medefer, a virtual healthcare provider that aims to transform healthcare delivery. Dr Bahman has also served as the GastroSCE Course Director at GastroSCE. Dr. Nedjat-Shokouhi has held positions at various hospitals and organizations, including Whittington Health, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and St. Mark's Hospital Foundation, where they worked as a Gastroenterology Consultant and Registrar. Additionally, they have been involved in research as an MRC Senior Clinical Research Training Fellow at UCL and served as the BSG IBD Committee Trainee Representative at the British Society of Gastroenterology. Dr Bahman Nedjat-Shokouhi obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Neuroscience from UCL in the years 2001 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a degree in Medicine (MB BS) at UCL from 1999 to 2005. In 2010, they completed a program at the Royal College of Physicians London, earning an MRCP degree. Dr Nedjat-Shokouhi further specialized in Gastroenterology by obtaining an MRCP(UK) degree from the Royal College of Physicians London in 2013. Continuing their academic journey, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Medicine and Immunology at UCL from 2013 to 2018.
