Rachel Lewis

Rachel Lewis has had a diverse work experience. Starting in 2004, they provided quality customer service in 3 restaurants and 5 tutoring opportunities from high school until after college graduation. In 2009, they worked as a Research Analyst at Lewis Oil & Gas, developing budget and expenditure plans, proposing recommendations, and securing contracts. In 2013, they took on the role of Compliance Specialist at Cimarex Energy, providing ad hoc support to 6 project leads on 8 long-term projects, maintaining and updating 2 databases, and writing and maintaining documentation as project lead for 2 biennial projects. In 2021, they began a Software Engineering Student role at Holberton School Tulsa, excelling in a fast-paced, goal-oriented long-form bootcamp based off of self- and peer-learning and rigorous testing. Rachel focused on theory, best practices, algorithms, data structures, and both low- and high-level languages, and progressed into specializing in full-stack web development, starting with frontend, then adding backend, and finally combining with React. In 2022, they began a Software Engineer role at Medefy Health.

Rachel Lewis began their education in 2005, when they attended the University of Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Magna cum Laude in International Relations in 2009. Rachel then attended Tulsa Community College from 2014 to 2015, studying Computer Software Engineering. Rachel is currently enrolled in Holberton School, studying Computer Software Engineering, from 2021 to 2022.
