Harlan Barker is a Bioinformatician at the University of Oulu, specializing in single cell transcriptomics and genomics analysis of prostate and ovarian cancer since January 2023. Additionally, Harlan has been a Data Scientist at MedEngine since July 2016, focusing on Finnish healthcare data for the pharmaceutical and medtech sectors. As a Scientific Writer and PhD Researcher at Tampere University since September 2013, Harlan's research encompasses computational analysis of gene regulation and projects involving ancient human gene regulation, CRISPR technology, and gene expression in cancers. Harlan also served as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland in 2023 and has extensive experience in distribution management and data migration analysis from previous roles.
