Maree Bayas has a diverse work experience spanning from 1994 to the present. Maree began their career at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they held various finance roles until 2005. During their time at Janssen, they led the finance team, implemented SAP Regional Platform, and conducted training programs. From 2005 to 2017, Maree served as the Compliance Controller at Janssen, where they developed and implemented strategies to ensure compliance with laws and codes of practice. Maree also managed the local operating requirements of Corporate Internal Audit and successfully implemented the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool. In 2017, Maree was promoted to Senior Compliance Manager, where they became the ANZ subject matter expert on enterprise compliance, crisis management, privacy, and finance compliance. Maree established the ANZ Risk and Compliance Framework and successfully led the Crisis Management COVID-19 team. In 2023, Maree joined Medenterprises as the Head of Risk & Compliance.
Maree Bayas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Macquarie University in the years 1996 to 2000. Maree then pursued the CPA Australia Program and received their CPA degree from 2001 to 2004. Maree later completed a Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing at IIA-Australia in 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2019 and 2020 respectively. In 2023, Maree completed a certification course called "Switching Your Career" from LinkedIn.
