Bernie Ursell

Bernie Ursell currently serves as the Senior Director of Medical Communications at Medevise Consulting since October 2023. Previously, Bernie held the position of Global Head at ZEISS Medical Technology from December 2021 to October 2023. Bernie has extensive experience in communications and public affairs within the eyecare sector, having worked as Director of International Public Affairs and Director of Communications and Public Relations at AbbVie from May 2020 to December 2021, and as Director of Communications & Public Relations and Eyecare Lead at Allergan from May 2015 to May 2020. Bernie’s earlier roles include Senior Communications Consultant at MSLGROUP, Communications Consultant at CIBA Vision GmbH, and various positions at Bausch + Lomb and Brand X. Bernie also contributed as a Village Life reporter during the London Olympic Games 2012. Bernie’s educational background includes degrees in Nursing and Midwifery from St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.
