Oommen K Mathew, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.

Starting in 2005, they worked as a Technical Trainer / Software Engineer at MACFAST, where they developed a web-based gene mapping tool.

In 2007, they joined RKC InfoTech as a Senior Software Analyst, working on projects such as CROSSGRID, a call routing engine for class 4 switches in the US telecom industry.

From 2012 to 2017, they were a Research Fellow at ncbs-bangalore, focusing on computational biology and completing their Ph.D.

In 2012, they briefly worked as a Tech Lead at Braddock Infotech before moving on to positions at AgriGenome Labs Pvt Ltd.

At AgriGenome Labs, they held multiple roles, including Bioinformatics Scientist, Senior Scientist (Computational Biology) and Site Head, and ultimately Senior Scientist (Computational Biology) and Head of Bioinformatics.
