Ravi Gupta

Ravi Gupta is currently the Vice President of Bioinformatics at MedGenome. Ravi has over eight years of experience in the field of bioinformatics, with a focus on next generation sequencing data analysis. Prior to joining MedGenome, Ravi was the Bioinformatics Head & Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at SciGenom, where they led the bioinformatics team and was responsible for managing daily computing needs. Ravi has also worked as a Staff Scientist at The Wistar Institute and as a Member Research Staff at KBCRF Private Limited. Ravi has authored several papers and whitepapers, and has initiated and developed various bioinformatics tools including VariMAT, PrimeMe, MitoGIS, and mineExpression.

Ravi Gupta studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee where they earned their PhD in Computer Science. Their research interests include machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence. Prior to their PhD studies, they completed their MSc in Computer Science and Electronics at the Institute of Informatics & Communications, Delhi University. Ravi also holds a BSc Honors in Electronics from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.

Ravi Gupta reports to Sam Santhosh, Founder, Chairman & Global CEO. They are on a team with Hiranjith G H - VP & Head of Research Services, US, Sekar Seshagiri - Chief (Genomics & Informatics) & Head (US Operations), and Mahesh Pratapneni - Co-Founder.
