Zaher Sahloul has a diverse and extensive work experience. Zaher is currently serving as the President of MedGlobal, a medical NGO aimed at addressing healthcare disparities and providing healthcare to underserved populations and refugees. Prior to this role, they worked as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago and served as a Partner and Physician at Midwest Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Consultants, LLC.

From 1982 to 1988, Zaher Sahloul studied at Damascus University, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine.

Following this, from 1990 to 1993, Zaher Sahloul enrolled at the University of Illinois Chicago, where they completed a Residency in Internal Medicine as part of the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

In addition, from 1993 to 1996, Zaher Sahloul continued their education at the University of Illinois Chicago, undertaking a Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine as part of the Pulmonary Disease Residency Program.

Throughout the same period, Zaher Sahloul also worked as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago in the Critical Care Medicine Residency Program.

Later, from 2008 to 2010, Zaher Sahloul pursued further education at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, where they obtained a degree in Nonprofit Management (MD).
