Ryan Unger, MD began their work experience in 2009 at UT Medical Center as a Wound Care and Hyperbarics Physician. In 2012, they became a Member at University Physicians' Association, Inc. Lastly, in 2017, they took on the role of Medical Director at Medi-Weightloss®.

Dr. Ryan Unger completed their high school education at South-Doyle High School, graduating in 1999. Ryan then attended Francis Marion University from 1999 to 2000, where they studied Biology and Chemistry.

In 2001, Dr. Unger enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2003. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the American University of the Caribbean from 2004 to 2008.

After earning their medical degree, Dr. Unger joined the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, for their Family Medicine Residency Program from 2009 to 2012. In July 2012, they became board certified in Family Medicine by The American Board of Family Medicine, Inc.

Overall, Dr. Ryan Unger has a diverse educational background, culminating in their specialization in Family Medicine.
