Peter Whitehead

Peter Whitehead is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media development. Since April 2005, Peter has served as the Director of Communications at the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF), a New York-based organization that provides low-cost financing to independent news media in regions lacking a free press. Prior to this role, Peter worked as a Freelance Media Development Consultant for various international clients from July 1999 to March 2005, and held the position of Director at the World Editors Forum from July 1996 to June 1999. Additional experience includes roles as Sub-editor for the South China Morning Post and Editor of the Asian Law Journal. Peter holds an LLB degree from The University of Manchester and has also studied at Chester College of Law.
