Geert Vos

Geert Vos has a diverse work experience, with a strong focus on technology and development roles. Geert is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Media Distillery, a company that analyzes video and extracts next-generation metadata. Prior to that, Geert was a Backend Developer at eBuddy, where they worked on a high availability mobile messaging platform serving millions of users worldwide. Geert also worked as a Developer at Novulo R&D, where they designed and implemented a graphical modeling tool and a runtime environment for web applications. Geert has also had experience as an Intern at Getronics PinkRoccade, where they developed a model-driven development toolchain. Geert has contributed their skills as a Developer at Novulo R&D and Better.be. Additionally, Geert has interned at the Cooperative Development Laboratories Association, focusing on embedded Java development and helping develop an API for running software on robots. Most recently, Geert became a Founding Partner at Shamrock Ventures, an impact fund that supports tech startups focusing on creating social and environmental impact.

Geert Vos obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente, completing their studies from 2005 to 2008.
