Media Done Responsibly (MDR) is a youth-powered ecosystem committed to transforming how young people experience and shape the digital world. We focus on digital wellbeing, media literacy education, responsible tech leadership, and youth-led innovation, ensuring that every young person has the tools—and the agency—to thrive online and offline.

MDR works at the intersection of education, culture, and technology. Our flagship MDR Resource Hub & Innovation App connects youth, educators, and organizations inside a dynamic learning community where courses, civil dialogue tools, creative spaces, research projects, and global innovation challenges all live in one accessible digital home. The Hub reflects our core belief: youth must be co-creators of the digital future—not just consumers of it.

MDR’s programs address some of the most urgent needs of our time: rising youth mental health concerns, digital toxicity, misinformation, and polarization. Our approach blends evidence-based media literacy, ethical AI, youth-centered research, and peer mentorship to build digital resilience and agency. We partner with K–12 districts, universities, government agencies, and global wellbeing organizations to ensure that prevention, safety, and empowerment are built into the future of technology.

Our youth-powered model has earned national and global recognition. MDR was named a Top 3 Youth Leadership Organization in the U.S. by F6S, one of the largest startup and innovation networks in the world. We continue to expand our impact through cross-sector collaborations with educators, academics, tech innovators, digital wellbeing leaders, and youth creators across the U.S., Australia, the Gulf region, and beyond.
