Shannon Spence

VP, Integrated Planning at Media Storm

Shannon Spence has a diverse work experience in the advertising and media industry. They started their career at Zimmerman Advertising as an Assistant Media Buyer, eventually working their way up to become a Media Buyer. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing effective media campaigns for clients and negotiating rates with various media representatives. They also tracked campaign performance and handled invoice reconciliation.

Following their time at Zimmerman Advertising, Shannon joined MGS as a Digital, Broadcast Media Buyer. Here, they focused on executing broadcast and digital media efforts for both General Market and Hispanic target audiences. They developed vendor relationships, conducted media research and analysis, and created competitive insights on market share of voice.

In 2013, Shannon returned to Zimmerman Advertising in a different capacity. They held multiple roles during their tenure, including Integrated Media Supervisor, Associate Integrated Media Director, and V.P. Director of Digital Media. In these roles, they managed digital staff, oversaw client and media partner relationships, and played a key role in strategic development and execution of digital campaigns. They also guided planners and interns, developed departmental procedures, and identified digital tools for agency implementation.

In 2020, Shannon joined Beacon - A BrandStar Agency as an Integrated Planning Director. In this position, they continued to lead integrated planning efforts, ensuring effective strategies for clients.

Most recently, Shannon joined Media Storm in 2022 as the VP of Integrated Planning. In this role, they are responsible for strategic planning and integrated campaign development.

Throughout their career, Shannon has demonstrated their expertise in strategic planning, media buying, vendor management, and campaign performance analysis. They have consistently worked towards their professional growth and have taken on increasing levels of responsibility in their roles.

Shannon Spence attended the University of South Florida from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Advertising. In terms of additional certifications, Shannon obtained certifications in Advanced TV for Advertisers, Audience Data for Advertisers, and CTV Is for Everyone: A Buyer's Guide to Connected TV from Magnite in December 2021. Shannon also obtained a certification in Learning GDPR from LinkedIn in August 2020.
