Adam Cooke has worked in various roles within the media industry. Adam started their career as an Assistant Editor at GQ South Africa from 1999 to 2003. Adam then worked as a Deputy Editor at Men's Health magazine from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, Cooke served as an Editor at Men's Health Living. In 2009, they joined Media24 as a Senior Assistant Editor at Drum, a position they held until 2012. Cooke then took on the role of Senior Assistant Editor at NewsNow within the same company. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Talent Development Specialist at Media24. Adam then became the Principal of Media24 Academy, a position they held until September 2020. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Learning and Development at Media24.
Adam Cooke completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History at the University of Cape Town from 1988 to 1991. In 1994, they obtained a Higher Diploma in Journalism from Rhodes University. More recently, from 2018 to 2019, Adam pursued an Executive MBA program at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.
