Wesley Tao

Wesley Tao has a diverse range of work experience in the technology sector.

Starting in 2006, they worked as an Information Technology Coordinator at Biola University, where they provided IT support for the financial aid department.

In 2009, Tao became the Order Fulfillment Manager at AAXA Technologies, managing the logistics of order fulfillment and providing technical support and service.

From 2010 to 2017, they joined Apple as a Technical Support Manager, leading a team of technicians in delivering quality customer support and repair services. Wesley successfully implemented strategies to improve customer satisfaction.

Tao then transitioned to Fieldstead and Company in 2017, where they worked as an IT Manager overseeing all IT operations and managing vendor relationships.

In 2018, they joined Optimist Inc. as a Senior IT Manager, leading IT transformation projects focused on security hardening and GDPR compliance across multiple office locations.

From 2019 to 2020, Tao served as an IT Manager at The Black Tux, and in November 2020, they joined MediaAlpha as a Senior Manager, responsible for security and IT.

Throughout their career, Tao has gained expertise in various areas such as IT operations, systems administration, desktop support, vendor management, and implementing IT solutions.

Wesley Tao's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, which they obtained between 2001 and 2005. During this time, they focused on the fields of Biology, Neurobiology, and completed a minor in Psychology. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree at Talbot School of Theology from 2006 to 2010, where they specialized in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. Their studies encompassed various disciplines including Theology, Spirituality, Philosophy, and Psychology.

In addition to their formal education, Wesley Tao has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they became an Apple Certified Mac Technician through Apple. Wesley then acquired the certifications of Certified Cisco Meraki Network Operator from Cisco Meraki in 2018. Wesley continued to expand their expertise by becoming an Okta Certified Administrator in 2022 and an Okta Certified Professional in 2021, both through Okta, Inc. Furthermore, Wesley Tao obtained the Jamf Certified Admin certification in 2019 and the Jamf Certified Tech certification in 2018, both from Jamf. Their certifications also include Box Certified Professional - Gold, which they achieved in 2017 through Box.
