Kris Van Rossem started their work experience in 1997 as an ICT Instructor at the Department of Informatics at the Ministry of Defence. In 1998, they worked as a Network Engineer at Bizibit until 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they served as an E-Business Consultant at 1e Europe. Then, they joined PRG-Schultz as an IT Manager Europe from 2001 to 2006. Kris later worked as an IT-Manager E-Media at Corelio from 2006 to 2010. Currently, they serve as the Chief Technology Officer at Mediafin starting from 2010.

Kris Van Rossem holds a Master's degree in an unspecified field from the Royal Military Academy, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. In 1999, they obtained another Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Vlaamse Ingenieurskamer, which they completed in 2000. In 2011, Kris attended the Vlerick Business School to complete the Middle Management Program, which lasted until 2012. Prior to their time at the Royal Military Academy and their later educational pursuits, Kris studied at Koninklijke Kadettenschool Lier from 1985 to 1988, earning a WA degree.
