Evert de Man has had a varied career in the fields of machine learning and neuroscience. In 2021, they began working as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Mediaire, and previously held the role of Machine Learning Intern. In 2020, they were an MSc Candidate at Charité, where they wrote their thesis on identifying and predicting alcohol use in adolescents based on structural brain imaging. Evert also worked as a Lab Rotation Student, where they wrote a research proposal to gain access to the IMAGEN dataset, preprocessed structural MRI images, and performed multivariate pattern analyses. In 2019, they were a Lab Rotation Student at the Humboldt University of Berlin at the Institute for Theoretical Biology, and a Lab Rotation Student at the Technische Universität Berlin, where they worked with neural networks. In 2018, they were a Data Analyst at Charité, and in 2017 they were a Customer Service Specialist at Omio. In 2016, they were a BSc Candidate at the University of Amsterdam, and in 2015 they were a Tutor at Instituut de Leeuw.
Evert de Man's education history began in 2004 when they attended Strabrecht College, where they earned a VWO Gymnasium in Nature & Technology, Nature & Health. Evert then attended the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Laws - LLB in Law. From 2013 to 2016 they attended the University of Amsterdam again and earned a BSc Psychobiology in Neuroscience.
