Pere Ferrera Bertran

Pere Ferrera Bertran has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Pere began their career as a Computer Engineer at Strands in 2005, followed by a role as a Java Senior Developer at Enormo in 2006. In 2010, they worked as a Senior Developer and Architect at ReviewPro, a Data Engineer at ExperienceOn Ventures, and a Big Data Mentor at Data Science Retreat. From 2011 to 2018, they were the Co-founder and CTO of Datasalt, a company that built open-source products and helped companies in architecting Big Data solutions. In 2018, they became the Head of Software Development at Mediaire, where they were responsible for bootstrapping the Software Development team, hiring and managing a team of 4 Software Developers, and taking key architectural decisions that supported the first versions of the medical products. Pere then became the Tech Lead of Software Engineering at Mediaire, where they were the reference person in the Core Team for software-related topics. In this role, they were responsible for new developer hires, high-level planning of complex software tasks, and architectural decisions. Pere also participated in the core development as a Python developer and Machine Learning Engineer, taking on some occasional data analysis tasks. Finally, they hold a Technology Lead role at Bridge Figures.

Pere Ferrera Bertran obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 2000 and 2006.
