Thierry Tapie

Thierry Tapie has over 35 years of work experience in various roles in the technology industry. Thierry is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at MediaKind, where they focus on performance and scalability on dedicated video OTT cloud components using Azure.

Prior to their current role, Thierry worked at InterDigital, Inc. as a Senior Software System Engineer. In this role, they prepared and presented prototypes at international exhibitions in the USA. Thierry also specified and integrated a video acquisition chain for a 16-camera 4K pro video volumetric application and synchronized and controlled video parameters for these cameras.

Before joining InterDigital, Thierry served as a Senior Software Engineer at Technicolor for nine years. Their responsibilities included preparing and presenting prototypes at international exhibitions in the USA, Canada, and Europe, as well as participating in a European project. Thierry was also involved in the automatic generation of reference videos and metrics.

Thierry's work experience includes a 13-year tenure at THOMSON MULTIMEDIA, where they held the position of Hardware and Software Engineer. Thierry presented prototypes at international exhibitions in the USA, Canada, and Europe and designed a system for transporting video synchronization genlock signals over an IP network using digital PLL.

Prior to THOMSON MULTIMEDIA, Thierry worked as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at THOMSON CSF Laboratoires d'électroniques de Rennes. Thierry contributed to a European project on autonomous cars and a project on CMOS DSP cameras. Thierry also designed electronic analog and digital cards for the professional video sector.

Thierry's early career included roles such as Responsable procédé de fabrication at SAGEM, where they played a key role in launching a production line for CANAL+ decoders, and Camera expert production engineering at Sony, where they spent six months in Japan and started a camera production line.
