Vilma Campos has over 30 years of work experience in the localization and engineering fields. Vilma began their career in 1987 as an Industrial Engineering Manager at Liconsa. In 1993, they moved to Compumatica Inc. as a Localization Engineering Manager, where they designed and translated publicity and marketing materials. Vilma then worked at Simultrans as a Software Localization Project Manager from 1994 to 1998. In 2002, they moved to Local Concept as a Program Manager, and then to Medialocate, Inc. in 2003, where they held the roles of Engineering and Systems Manager and Localization Engineer. In these roles, they drove the localization and development engineering program, led engineers and software developers, and managed translation and localization projects. Vilma also coordinated with senior management teams to set the overall strategy and objectives for localization and internationalization projects.
Vilma Campos has received a variety of educational experiences. Vilma attended Brigham Young University for Organizational Leadership, U.N.A.M for a B.S. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with a focus on Industrial Engineering & Information Systems, Monterey Peninsula College for an A.S. in Computer Info Systems, Computer Science Networking (High Honors), and is currently enrolled at Brigham Young University - Idaho for a degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Computer Software Engineering.
