Louisa Garbo Ph.D., J.D., AICP is a seasoned professional with diverse expertise in mediation, planning, and conflict resolution. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst at the Governance and Structure division of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Louisa also contributes to Mediators Beyond Borders International as a Peace Builder, working with UN groups focused on sustainable development. As the Founder and Principal Mediator at Garbo & Associates since 2019, Louisa has directed various community development initiatives, previously holding leadership roles such as Director of Community Development for the City of Ridgefield and Island Planner at the Islands Trust. Louisa's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in International Mediation and Conflict Resolution, a Juris Doctor in Law, and several master's degrees in Negotiation, City Planning, and Fine Arts, demonstrating a multifaceted approach to problem-solving and community engagement.
