VP Of Clinical Chemistry at Medica Corporation

Diane Ellis has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry and biochemistry. Diane started their career at Sensor Technologies as the Director of Chemistry, where they supervised a team and was involved in the development of an in vivo glucose sensor for diabetics. Diane also gained experience in protein purification and characterization, affinity assays, and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). After that, they joined Sensera/Triton Biosystems as a Senior Scientist Biochemist, where they focused on developing sensor platforms for air and water monitoring of chemical and biological warfare agents. Diane also worked on the development of a tumoricidial therapeutic platform for cancer treatment. Diane then moved to ECI Biotech as a Principal Scientist, where they worked on IVD device design and development for rapid pathogen detection. Diane was involved in the optimization and development of colorimetric and enzymatic sensor platforms for the selective detection of various pathogens. Currently, they are working at Medica Corporation as the VP of Clinical Chemistry, overseeing the product development team for EasyRA chemistry reagents and managing the development of Drugs of Abuse reagents for the EasyRA chemistry analyzer.

Diane Ellis has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University. Diane also holds a bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemistry from Bates College. Additionally, they completed a postdoctoral program in Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
