Principal Business Architect at Medica

Adam Rowan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Adam started their career as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher at Bloomington Public Schools from 2003 to 2006. Adam then joined Rels Valuation in 2007 and grew within the company, serving as an Assistant Operations Manager from 2007 to 2010 and later as an Associate Vice President/Operations Manager from 2010 to 2012. At Rels Valuation, they managed vendor relations and led strategic changes in the Operations Department. In 2012, Adam joined Medica where they held multiple roles, including Manager of Provider Network Operations and Credentialing from 2012 to 2015, Senior Manager of Provider Network and Operations Management from 2015 to 2016, and Business Architect from 2016 to 2021. Currently, they serve as the Principal Business Architect at Medica, leading business design and innovation activities for strategic initiatives, business line integration, and claim system migrations. Adam is responsible for identifying opportunities and facilitating process and technology improvements across multiple functional teams.

Adam Rowan completed their undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) with a focus on International Business. In 1999, they studied abroad at IES Vienna for a brief period. Continuing their education, Adam pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Social Studies Secondary Education at the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2008.
