The Medical Center Parañaque, Inc. Group of Hospitals manages tertiary level medical facilities in Metro Manila. MCPI is a private corporation with about 500 stock holders composed mostly of physicians who excel in their respective fields of specialization. MCPI was founded by a group of enterprising physicians and businessmen in 1977. The inauguration of the first hospital took place on November 12, 1978. It started with an authorized bed capacity of 50 beds and offered services such as Operating and Delivery Room, Diagnostic X-ray, Laboratory, Nursery, Dental Clinic, Pharmacy, ICU and ambulance services. On July 31, 1981, the Security Exchange Commission approved incorporation of the first hospital.
