Rachel Lau

Rachel Lau is a Lead Engineer in Product Support at Medical Components, Inc. since March 2021, with prior experience in various engineering roles at the same company. Rachel also served as Co-Chair for the First Year Engineering Conference at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering, where responsibilities included organizing meetings and moderating conference segments. An undergraduate teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, Rachel guided students in developing oral presentation skills in bioengineering. Previous experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Philips Respironics, where contributions were made to mechanical design in CPAP technology, and undergraduate research in soft tissue biomechanics at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering. Rachel Lau holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, completed in 2021.
