August 1996 Medical Horizons Co. is founded in Holargos, Athens by Mr. Konstantinos Velissarios with the aim of delivering high-quality innovative medical devices that improve patient care and support healthcare professionals’ excellence in Hellenic cardiac and vascular surgery field.

In that respect an exclusive distribution agreement is signed with Origin Medsystems Inc. for their endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting system (VasoView) to be used in CABG procedures (Sept. 96) and an exclusive distribution agreement with Endovascular Technologies Inc. (EVT endograft for AAA). The endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms through a commercial implant was made possible for the first time in Greece (Dec. 96) and since then, among its other activities, Medical Horizons undertakes the study of patients CTA scans and provides a report with the anatomic analysis and recommendation for the implants indicated for their treatment.

In the following years other medical fields such as interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, general surgery, intensive care, transplantations and spine surgery were added to company's portfolio.
