Vice President Of Product Management at Medical Informatics

Chris Schabowsky, PhD, CCE has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Starting in 2005, Chris worked as a Biomedical Engineer at National Rehabilitation Hospital, where they conducted research studies on human motor function adaptations and neural learning strategies. Chris then moved on to Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2007, taking on the role of Biomedical Engineer, where they led a team in developing a therapeutic robot to improve hand function in stroke patients.

In 2010, Chris became a Supervisory Biomedical Engineer at Veterans Affairs Medical Center before transitioning to Medical Informatics Corp. in 2013. At Medical Informatics Corp., Chris served as a Senior Project Engineer, evaluating cutting-edge medical technologies for efficacy and cost effectiveness, and later as a Program Manager, developing and launching consulting business lines for various medical technologies, including surgical robotics and medical device cybersecurity.

In 2018, Chris joined ECRI as a Senior Healthcare Accident Investigator, leading initiatives to introduce new healthcare technologies and conducting investigations into adverse events. Chris then advanced to the role of Director of Healthcare Technology Consultation & Accident Investigations, where they led a team dedicated to improving safety, quality, and cost effectiveness of care across healthcare settings worldwide.

Most recently, in 2023, Chris became the Vice President of Product Management at Medical Informatics Corp., where they influence cross-functional leadership and develops product strategies aligned with the company's vision and goals. Chris is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences and driving revenue through the execution of product-related activities.

Chris Schabowsky, PhD, CCE has an extensive education history in engineering. Chris received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The Catholic University of America, graduating in 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters in Science in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2003 to 2005. In 1999, Chris obtained a Bachelors in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Chris completed their secondary education at North Kingstown High School from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their academic achievements, Chris Schabowsky has also obtained a certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) from the ACCE - American College of Clinical Engineering in June 2019.
