Andy Leopold

Andy Leopold founded Medical Murray with his father, Phil Leopold, in 1996, and now serves as CEO. In this position, Andy oversees R&D, quality, and regulatory compliance at their three facilities nationwide. He has over 25 years of medical device expertise in complex delivery systems including 12 patents issued in various catheter technologies.

Prior to Medical Murray, Andy served as Engineering Group Leader at Guidant Corporation where he led the design team and initiated the development of many new products to treat coronary artery disease. He was also instrumental in creating novel balloon technology including material and process development. Prior to his tenure at Guidant, Andy served as an engineer for Sterling Drug where he was responsible for the development and production of new biosynthetic skin substitutes.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
