Brandon Williamson has a diverse work experience in various industries. Brandon started their career as a Concrete Worker at Substation Concrete Services in 2011. Brandon then worked as a Protection and Control Wireman at UTILI-SERVE LLC from 2012 to 2016, where they performed wiring for relay protection and control circuits in substations.
In 2014, Brandon worked as a Researcher at the University of South Carolina, assisting in lab work in the field of Allergy and Asthma. Brandon also gained experience in micropipetting, buffering solutions, ELISA, and calculation of cell percent degranulation.
Brandon then joined Carolinas HealthCare System in 2016, working in Surgical Services. Brandon also collaborated with the Cabarrus Health Alliance as a Vector Control Specialist, where they collected and classified mosquitoes for research on the Zika virus. Brandon presented statistical information on mosquito distribution in front of a panel of scientists.
In 2017, Brandon served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Engineer 1 at Terumo Cardiovascular Group. Currently, they are employed as an R&D Engineer at Medical Murray.
Brandon Williamson completed their education in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Brandon earned a Master's Degree in Engineering (MEng) in that field from the University of South Carolina from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their academic achievements, Brandon also holds additional certifications. Brandon earned the certification of "Master Molder I" from RJG, Inc. in January 2019, and they achieved the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America in December 2011.
