Tilo Moede

Tilo Moede is an experienced professional in the field of biomedical research and regulatory assessment of medical products. Currently serving as an Assessor for Advanced Therapy Medical Products at the Medical Products Agency Läkemedelsverket since September 2021, Tilo Moede previously held various positions at Karolinska Institutet from 1995 to 2021, including Researcher and Senior Lab Manager, where expertise in microscopy and molecular biology techniques was utilized to explore the effects of type 2 diabetes on pancreatic beta cells. Additional roles included Research Scientist focusing on molecular signaling mechanisms of insulin production, and PhD Student, with a thesis on glucose-dependent transcription mechanisms. Tilo Moede began research experience as an Associate Researcher with Bundeswehr, investigating ionizing radiation effects. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Karolinska Institutet and a Master's Degree in Biopharmacology from Universität Greifswald.
