Heather Lopez

Heather Lopez has a diverse work history spanning multiple industries. Heather began their career at St Mary's Healthcare Amsterdam in 2005, working as a Customer Service Representative/Financial Counselor. Heather then moved on to Eastern Medical Support in 2007, where they served as a Senior Sales Manager. In 2010, they returned to St Mary's Healthcare Amsterdam and took on various roles, including PFS Analyst, Practice Manager for Specialty Care, Provider Relations Manager, and Per diem Director of Primary & Urgent Care. Heather joined the Medical Society of the State of New York in 2021 as the Director of Physician Payment & Practice. Most recently, they were promoted to the role of Vice President in January 2022.

The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) is an organization of approximately 30,000 licensed physicians, medical residents, and medical students in New York State. Members participate in both the state society and in their local county medical societies. MSSNY is a non-profit organization committed to representing the medical profession as a whole and advocating health related rights, responsibilities and issues. MSSNY strives to promote and maintain high standards in medical education and in the practice of medicine in an effort to ensure that quality medical care is available to the public.
