Carolyn McCrea currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Programs at the Medical Society of Virginia since August 2022, following a successful tenure at Virginia Commonwealth University where roles included Senior Program Director and Director of Financial Wellness at the VACU Financial Success Center. McCrea has extensive experience in financial literacy programming, corporate engagement, and student development, highlighted by the establishment of educational initiatives and partnerships to enhance community and student support. Previous positions include leadership roles at Better Housing Coalition, Active Minds, and the Catholic University of America. McCrea holds an ongoing Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, alongside a Master’s in Educational Leadership from William & Mary and a Bachelor’s in English and Secondary Education from James Madison University.
