Andy Atz has extensive experience in pediatrics, particularly in pediatric cardiology. Since October 1998, Andy has held multiple leadership positions at the Medical University of South Carolina, including Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Vice Chair of Pediatric Clinical Research, and Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. Andy also served as the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care and held the role of Interim Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. Prior to this, Andy gained experience at Boston Children's Hospital from July 1995 to October 1998 in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care. Andy completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Children's Hospital Boston from 1992 to 1996 and holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Andy earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology from the University of Florida.
