Mike M. Mallah

Mike M. Mallah, M.D., currently serves as the Director of Global Surgery and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina since September 2022. Previously, Mike completed a Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at VCU Health and served as a General Surgery Resident at Carolinas HealthCare System. In addition to clinical roles, Mike co-founded Stories with a Heartbeat and founded Not A Wear, LLC. Prior experience includes consulting at McKinsey & Company, coordinating trauma care at Vidant Medical Center, and working in retail sales at Verizon Wireless. Mike earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry concentration from the same university.
