Neda Poran Msha

Neda Poran MSHA, MT(ASCP) has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare field. Neda is currently serving as the Laboratory Director at Medical West Hospital since July 2022. Previously, they worked at UAB Medicine where they held various roles including Laboratory Supervisor from April 2018 to June 2022, Lead Medical Technologist from November 2015 to April 2018, and Medical Technologist from July 2012 to November 2015. Prior to that, Neda worked as a Medical Technologist at Intermountain Healthcare from February 2009 to July 2012, at Lakeview Hospital from August 2006 to February 2009, and at Reston Hospital from August 2005 to August 2006. Their career in the medical field started in 2000 when they served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy until August 2005.

Neda Poran MSHA, MT(ASCP) holds a Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, which they obtained from the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology at Old Dominion University from 2004 to 2006. Neda also holds an Associate's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician, which they earned at Thomas Nelson Community College from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, Neda obtained certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP BOC).
