Rob Burley currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of MedicAlert Foundation UK & Ireland since January 2025. Previously, Rob has held significant leadership roles, including Director of Care, Communications and Support at Muscular Dystrophy UK from December 2018 to January 2025, and Director of Campaigns, Care & Support, where Rob advanced health care access for muscle-wasting conditions. Rob's experience includes being a Clore Social Leadership Fellow, acting as Trustee for Charityworks, and leading strategic efforts at vinspired and Alzheimer's Society. Early in Rob's career, impactful work occurred at Action on Hearing Loss and Breakthrough Breast Cancer, contributing to legislative changes and campaign successes in various health and disability issues.

As a charity, MedicAlert supports individuals with medical conditions, allergies and other medical requirements. We are the most trusted and recognised medical ID service provider in the UK, providing peace of mind since 1964. MedicAlert speaks for our members when they can’t, via our membership service and custom-made medical ID jewellery. The jewellery is worn on pulse points (wrists or neck) and is engraved with the members' most vital medical information to aid initial care decisions in an emergency. It also carries the internationally recognised medical symbol and our 24/7 emergency line number, enabling first responders to gain access to the full medical record. Unique to MedicAlert, our in-house team of medical professionals review all member records when they are created and when they’re updated, to ensure they are medically sound for use in an emergency. Member records can include medical conditions, allergies, medication information, medical history, contact details, medical documentation and more.
