Uwe Baumann

Dr. Uwe Baumann has been Managing Director at MEDICE since July 1, 2021, and is responsible for the OTC area. Since August 1st, 2021, he has also been the managing director of the company Schaper & Brümmer, which is part of the MEDICE network.

He was born in Essen in 1959. The microbiologist received his doctorate from the Westphalian Wilhelms University. From 1985 to 1995 Uwe Baumann worked as a green local politician in Münster, 5 years of which as parliamentary group leader in the city council. After some time of university research, Uwe Baumann switched to the pharmaceutical industry in 1993 and before joining MEDICE held managerial positions at Hoffman-La Roche, Novartis, and Bionorica.

He also taught marketing and strategy at the Cooperative State University in Lörrach. He is on the supervisory board of Scalyst AG, Berngau, and Marpinion GmbH, Oberhaching.
