Graeme Wilkinson

Graeme Wilkinson is a seasoned professional in the field of pharmacology and drug discovery, currently serving as the Head of Virtual Drug Discovery at Medicines Discovery Catapult since October 2017. Prior to this role, Graeme was a Pharmacologist at The Research Network Ltd from March 2014 to October 2017, contributing to pharmaceutical R&D consultancy and project management. Graeme's extensive experience at AstraZeneca from March 2001 to February 2014 included roles such as Associate Director for Drug Repositioning and Principal Scientist focusing on molecular and analytical pharmacology, particularly related to G protein-coupled receptors. Graeme began a career in research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Glaxo Institute of Applied Pharmacology after earning a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Leicester between 1990 and 1993.
