Grant Golden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Grant started their career as a Staff Writer at The Technician in 2013 and also worked as a Freelance journalist for Creative Loafing during the same period. In 2012, Grant served as the Local Music Director at 88.1 WKNC.

In 2010, Grant founded The Bottom String and worked as the Founder/Editor for a period of five years. During the same time, from 2013 to 2015, they were an Editorial Intern/Freelance Journalist at Paste Magazine.

In 2017, Grant also worked as a Regional Talent Buyer at Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance. Grant curated the festival, handled booking and scheduling of over 40 acts, negotiated agreements with artists, and coordinated promotional events.

Grant's most recent position is at Medicom Technologies Inc. where they started in 2020. Grant initially worked as a Support Specialist, troubleshooting DICOM connectivity, network troubleshooting, HL7 configurations/integrations, and PACS configurations/integrations. Grant then progressed to become a Senior Support Specialist before assuming their current role as a Client Support Manager. In this capacity, they lead technical discussions with potential clients to evaluate their hardware infrastructure and align it with the company's technical requirements.

Grant Golden attended North Carolina State University from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they focused on Communication and Media Studies but did not obtain a specific degree.
