Medical Imaging Engineer at Medics

Oliver Ruiz has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical engineering. Oliver began their career as a Field Service Engineer at Fundación Clínica Noel, where they performed maintenance, repairs, and compliance testing on biomedical devices. Oliver then worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad de Antioquia, providing administrative and technical support.

Oliver later joined TECHFIT as a Design Engineer, specializing in the design and production of customized 3D prostheses and surgical guides. Following this, Oliver worked at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab as a Pre Doctoral Fellow, conducting research on 3D knee bio-models and performing virtual surgical plans.

Oliver then moved to Politecnico di Torino as a Postgraduate Researcher, where they focused on research projects. Oliver further expanded their expertise at Opto Engineering as a Senior Mechanical Designer. Most recently, Oliver joined Medics as a Biomedical Engineer.

Oliver Ruiz pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Oliver attended the university from 2016 to 2019. During this time, in 2018, they also completed a Master thesis in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University.

Prior to their Master's, Oliver studied at Universidad de Antioquia from 2010 to 2016. Although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned, it can be presumed that they completed their undergraduate education at this institution.

In addition to their formal education, Oliver obtained several certifications. In September 2022, they received the Industrial Keynote certification from the Additive Manufacturing Meets Medicine - AMMM institution.
