Lasya Cheruvu

Lasya Cheruvu is a proactive professional currently serving as the Health Policy Co-Lead for Rutgers Health Service Corps since August 2024. As Chief Executive Officer and Chief Training Officer at MedicZero Inc. since September 2021, Lasya also holds roles as Secretary and Community Training Coordinator, contributing significantly to community health initiatives. In addition to these responsibilities, Lasya has been a Teaching Assistant for The Global Teaching Project since September 2022 and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since January 2022. With a background in emergency medical services as a Trustee and Emergency Medical Technician at River Road Rescue Squad from January 2022 to December 2023, Lasya is also a dedicated Carnatic music student at Anandabhairavi School of Music since November 2017. Lasya is pursuing a degree in Genetics & Data Science at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, anticipated to graduate in 2025.
