Julianne Bedel

Julianne Mousetes Bedel has extensive experience in library management and services. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Medina County District Library since July 2018, Julianne oversees the development and delivery of library programs, ensuring compliance with legal standards and collaborating on budget development. Previously, as the Assistant Director, Julianne coordinated public service functions. Julianne also held the position of Director at Barberton Public Library from September 2007 to July 2018, where responsibilities included community engagement and policy writing, successfully leading local funding initiatives. Additionally, Julianne managed Children's and Outreach Services at Wadsworth Public Library and held various paraprofessional roles at Akron-Summit County Public Library. Julianne earned a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Organizational Communication from The University of Akron.
