Asanka Goonewardena, the company’s founder, brought with him a successful marketing record, enabling the organization to expand rapidly in its initial years. In 1989 the company was joined by Rohan Pethiyagoda, a biomedical engineer who had served formerly as Director of Biomedical Engineering in the Ministry of Health. The company’s board now includes David J. Krishnapillai, an electrical engineer; and Rohan Victoria, a professional manager.
