Marco Giordano, Ph.D has over 10 years of experience in medical imaging. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a PhD Research Engineer at Philips Research Laboratories in Aachen, Germany, where they developed software algorithms for 2D and 3D medical images, as well as acquisition protocols for C-arm CT. In 2012, they began working as a PhD Researcher at UMC Utrecht / Image Sciences Institute. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Clinical Product Manager for cardiac imaging at Pie Medical Imaging, where they developed understanding and contributed to product roadmaps in the cardiac imaging domain focused on MR. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft - Erasmus MC, where they developed a method for coronary stenosis classification based on perfusion CT and CT angiography, as well as segmentation of coronary territories based on 3D Min-Cost algorithm and distance transform. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have been working as a Research Engineer at Medis medical imaging systems bv, where they develop algorithms in C++/python for cardiac MR software applications.
Marco Giordano, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2004. Marco then went on to pursue a 1st year Master degree in Electronics and Signal Processing from the University of Southampton in 2004-2005. In 2005-2007, they obtained a Master of Science in Electronics and Signal Processing from Sapienza Università di Roma. In 2007, they completed an Exchange - Master thesis in "Mathematical methods for fMRI data analysis" at Maastricht University. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Medical Imaging from Image Sciences Institute - UMC Utrecht in 2008-2012.
